NEBDN Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing (RQF) is a nationally regulated qualification, approved by Ofqual and recognised by the General Dental Council (GDC). Delivered by Everest Education as an accredited centre, this programme is designed to prepare learners for professional practice as a Dental Nurse across a variety of clinical settings in the UK.
This diploma replaces the previous National Diploma and meets the latest GDC standards for dental nurse training and registration.

Course Aims and Objectives

All components must be passed in order to be awarded the qualification. Assessment standards are set and moderated by the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN).

- Face-to-Face Delivery: Available exclusively at our Feltham Centre, for students preferring in-person engagement.

- Undertake a Literacy Assessment (administered by Everest Education)
- Provide a Hepatitis B vaccination and DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) record
(If not currently vaccinated, applicants must begin the vaccination process as required by employers)

Portfolio of Evidence (PoE)
A digital log of workplace activities, completed via the PebblePad platform. Learners record and reflect on practical skills gained in their dental practice. This must be completed and signed off before proceeding to the final exams.
EXAM STYLE:
1. Knowledge Test
An online multiple-choice exam completed through the MaxExam App. Learners are only eligible for this after completing their PoE.
2. Professional Discussion
A scenario-based assessment conducted via Zoom, similar to an OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination), testing practical understanding and decision-making. Only candidates who pass the Knowledge Test will be allowed to sit this final discussion.
All components must be passed to achieve the qualification.
The college does offers complimentary placement support as an added service to boost your job search. This includes help with:

- Access to potential employer networks
However, placement is not guaranteed by the college, and students must take initiative in securing their own position. Working a minimum of 16 hours per week as a Trainee Dental Nurse is a requirement for course progression.
